Fingerprint identification

Integration of USB Key and Fingerprint Scanner (1D and 2D)
Scanning the fingerprint by inserting the BioBio key into USB port will perform user identification and other operations such as automatic logon of Windows and access to encrypted documents.

Identification through input of PIN

ser identification can also be performed through entering a PIN (Password). There are also identification functions other than the scanning of fingerprint

Security functions

Automatic encryption system

The files and file folders on local disks can be encrypted only through a simple operation. Upon removing the Key, these documents can not be opened, moved, copied, deleted, or renamed. But if the BioBio key is inserted into PC and the fingerprint identification is completed, all of these operations can be performed as smoothly as normal. The encrypted documents can be accessed under any application programs.

Automatic Logon/Logoff

Inserting the BioBio key, Windows can be automatically logged on simply through fingerprint identification. Do not worry about that the password will be peeped while entering. In addition, it also features the function of enforced logoff upon pulling out the BioBio key.

Screen Saver Lock

After pulling out the BioBio key, the system will be shifted to Screen Saver Lock and the keyboard and the mouse are disabled. It can be restored only by fingerprint identification with BioBio/Cody. It is a convenient security function for taking a break such as during lunch.

Outline of BioBio/Cody Security

With the fully implementation of the law of personal information protection, solid security is required for various personal information stored in PC. Today, disclosure of personal information is not only through Network, but also through human factors in offices which account for a large proportion. Therefore, the management of each PC in office shall be reconsidered.

BioBio/Cody is an USB Key equipped with advanced fingerprint identification technology. It controls access, copy, movement and other operations of encrypted documents by using user's biological identification in order to avoid information disclosure through illegal copy of document.

Simple Setup of BioBio/Cody

BioBio/Cody integrates USB Key with Fingerprint Scanner (1D: Slide type, 2D: Touch type). A high level security can be achieved easily with low cost by a simple set up of your PC.

Setup steps:

1.	Insert the BioBio key in the PC and the installation program will start automatically.
2.	Install the program according to the instructions of installation wizard.
3.	Create a key for logon with user's fingerprint according to the instructions of Key generation wizard.

And then, perform fingerprint identification using BioBio/Cody.
The security function with automatic logon and encryption can be used.

Note: BioBio/Cody cannot be used with other HardKey products simultaneously.

BioBio/Cody is recommended for following users:

◎	Offices with frequent people flow In offices where there are many transient personnel such as visitors, temporary staffs, outside staffs that constantly come in and out, BioBio/Cody can prevent peeping of password from the display when the operator leaves his seat.
◎	Users who often leave their seats because of busyness When a user leaves his seat often for receiving guests or walking a long distance between office and printing room, his PC shall be protected during his absence. BioBio/Cody, which can lock PC temporarily only by plugging in of the Key and fingerprint identification, will easily provide security for the user.
◎	Multi users' PC Some PCs, which are used publicly by different departments and have both general information and confidential information that shall be protected from disclosure, can provide access to some specific documents for designated users through share of BioBio/Cody Key.
